An indie songwriter who built a loyal following by turning intimate, queer narratives into sharply crafted pop anthems.
John-Allison Weiss emerged from the DIY punk and folk circuits of the late 2000s, a songwriter whose raw emotional honesty felt like a secret passed between friends. They mastered the art of the direct connection, funding early albums through Kickstarter and touring relentlessly. Weiss's music, a blend of punk urgency and pop melody, chronicled love, anxiety, and identity with unflinching clarity.
