Biography
Joel Embiid won the 2023 MVP award with a masterclass in two-way dominance after his first two NBA seasons were erased by foot surgeries. A multi-sport athlete in Cameroon who started basketball at 15, he was a raw project at the University of Kansas. Drafted third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2014, he silenced doubters with a breathtaking debut showcasing a guard's skills in a seven-foot frame.
