A British actress of Singaporean descent who broke ground in major franchises before stepping behind the camera as a BAFTA-nominated writer-director.
Jessica Henwick carved her own path in an industry often slow to embrace diversity. Of Singaporean-Chinese and Zambian-English descent, she made history as the first actress of East Asian descent to play a lead role in a British television series with 'Spirit Warriors'. But it was her steel-spined performance as Nymeria Sand in 'Game of Thrones' that introduced her to a global audience, followed by her turn as the scene-stealing Colleen Wing in Marvel's 'Iron Fist'. Henwick, however, is not content to just inhabit roles; she seeks to create them. This drive led her to write, direct, and star in the short film 'Bus Girl', a raw and personal project that earned a BAFTA nomination for Best British Short Film. Whether battling monsters in 'Love and Monsters' or navigating tense horror in 'The Royal Hotel', Henwick brings a grounded intensity, all while building a parallel career as a filmmaker with a distinct and promising voice.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Jessica was born in 1992, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
