A dynamic left-back from Guadeloupe whose powerful runs and defensive grit made him a mainstay in France's top flight.
Jérôme Roussillon's path to professional football was one of steady ascent through the French league system. Born in the Parisian suburb of Sarcelles, he developed his game in the academies of amateur clubs before his breakthrough at Sochaux. It was there his potential as a modern, attacking full-back became clear, leading to a move to Montpellier in 2015. At Montpellier, he established himself as a first-team fixture, his marauding runs down the left flank and tenacious defending catching the eye of bigger clubs. This earned him a transfer to the Bundesliga with VfL Wolfsburg, where he experienced European competition. Despite the challenges of adapting abroad, Roussillon's career is defined by consistency and athleticism at the highest levels of French and German football. Proud of his heritage, he has chosen to represent Guadeloupe internationally, bringing his experience to the Caribbean side.

Jérôme was born in 1993, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
