Biography

Jeremy Northam performed all singing parts for his role as Ivor Novello in Robert Altman's 2001 film 'Gosford Park', a fact the director discovered during filming. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School from 1983 to 1985. Northam originated the role of Edward in David Hare's 'The Secret Rapture' at the National Theatre in 1988. His film breakthrough came as the voice of reason, Dean Martin, in 1998's 'The Misadventures of Margaret'. He played Sir Robert Morton in the 1999 Broadway revival of 'The Winslow Boy'. Northam portrayed mathematician G.H. Hardy in the 2002 West End production of 'Breaking the Code'. He starred as Sir Thomas More in the Showtime series 'The Tudors' from 2007 to 2008. The actor voiced the character of Sir James in the 2011 video game 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim'. Northam performed the role of Hector in the 2012 stage production of 'The Last of the Haussmans' at the National Theatre. His career comprises over 70 film, television, and stage credits, favoring complex intellectuals and morally ambiguous aristocrats.

Baby Boomers

1946–1964

The largest generation in history at the time. Shaped by postwar prosperity, the Vietnam War, the sexual revolution, and Watergate. They questioned every institution their parents built — then ran them.

Jeremy was born in 1961, placing them squarely in the Baby Boomers. The events that shaped this generation — postwar prosperity, civil rights, Vietnam, and the counterculture — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
