A smooth-skating Swedish winger known for his two-way intelligence and a lethal shot, becoming a consistent force in the NHL for over a decade.
Jakob Silfverberg's path to professional hockey was carved in his native Sweden, where his polished game and scoring touch made him a standout. Drafted by the Ottawa Senators, he made the leap to North America after a defining season in the SHL, where he was named playoff MVP while leading Brynäs to a championship. His NHL career found its longest and most stable home with the Anaheim Ducks, where he became a fixture on the wing for nearly a decade. Silfverberg was never the flashiest player, but coaches valued him immensely for his detailed, responsible play in all three zones. He possessed a quick and accurate release on his wrist shot, making him a constant threat on the rush and a mainstay on the power play. His consistency and professionalism made him a core part of competitive Ducks teams throughout the 2010s. Internationally, he proudly represented Sweden on numerous occasions, stepping onto the podium at World Championships and solidifying his status as a reliable performer for the Tre Kronor.
