A durable and relentless forward whose work in the engine room provided the gritty foundation for championship-winning teams in the NRL.
Isaac Liu’s story is one of quiet, consistent force. Born in Auckland to Samoan parents, he emerged not as a flashy star but as the indispensable workhorse every rugby league team needs. His professional journey began with the Sydney Roosters, where he developed into a model of reliability in the front row. Liu wasn't the one scoring tries; he was the one making 40 tackles and churning through 150 meters with the ball, game after game. This unglamorous labor was the bedrock for the Roosters' back-to-back premierships in 2018 and 2019. His value was recognized with a long-term contract at the New Zealand Warriors, where he brought veteran leadership, and later a move to the English Super League. For the Kiwis and Toa Samoa, he brought the same no-nonsense approach, embodying the spirit of Pacific Island toughness and team-first sacrifice.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Isaac was born in 1991, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
