The Bronx-born frontman who fused streetwise hip-hop with lounge-cool jazz, creating the signature sound of Fun Lovin' Criminals.
Huey Morgan brought a New York state of mind to the global airwaves, both as a musician and a DJ. As the vocalist and guitarist for Fun Lovin' Criminals, he was the laid-back narrator of their heist-movie-inspired tales, mixing rock, funk, and blues over hip-hop beats. Tracks like 'Scooby Snacks' and 'The Fun Lovin' Criminal' turned the trio into unlikely stars in the UK and Europe in the late 1990s. When not recording, Morgan found a second life on British radio, hosting a beloved show on BBC 6 Music for 17 years where his deep musical knowledge and easygoing chatter made him a fixture. His career is a story of authentic cross-pollination—a Marine Corps veteran from NYC who became a voice of eclectic cool for a generation of UK listeners.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Huey was born in 1968, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
