Biography
Gökhan Zan formed a defensive wall with Semih Kaya that propelled Galatasaray to three consecutive Süper Lig titles between 2012 and 2014. The rugged defender emerged in the early 2000s, establishing a reputation as an old-school stopper: physically imposing, dominant in the air, and utterly committed. Serious injuries threatened his career, but after joining Galatasaray in 2009 he overcame fitness struggles to become the team's defensive bedrock. While his international caps were limited, he served as organizer and warrior for his club, a fan favorite whose passion mirrored the stands.
