A versatile defensive rock for Greece, his leadership and tactical intelligence defined a generation of Greek football.
Georgios Tzavellas carved out a reputation as one of Greece's most dependable defenders of his era, a player whose grit and positional savvy made him a fixture for both club and country. His career, spanning clubs in Greece, Germany, and Turkey, was built on consistency rather than flash, a defender who read the game a step ahead. He was a key part of the Greek national team during a period of sustained competitiveness, including their memorable run to the Round of 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Never one to seek the spotlight, Tzavellas was the kind of player managers trusted implicitly. That same trusted quality has seamlessly translated into his post-playing career, where he now shapes strategy as the sporting director of Panathinaikos, tasked with reviving one of Greece's most storied clubs.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Georgios was born in 1987, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
