A steadfast defender whose career journeyed from Premier League academies to representing Trinidad and Tobago on the international stage.
Gavin Hoyte's football story is one of persistence and dual identity. Coming through the famed Arsenal academy alongside his younger brother, he was part of a generation of talented Gunners prospects. While he never broke into the Arsenal first team, his professionalism earned him a solid career in the English Football League with clubs like Brighton and Dagenham & Redbridge. Born in London to Trinidadian parents, his international allegiance lay with the Soca Warriors. He earned his first cap in 2013 and became a reliable figure in their defensive setup, competing in World Cup qualifiers and the Caribbean Cup. In his later career, he embraced the non-league circuit, showcasing a dedication to the game that transcended the level of competition.
