Biography

Born in the Parisian suburb of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, Fodé Ballo-Touré’s football journey began at Paris Saint-Germain’s famed academy before he truly emerged at Lille. His powerful runs down the flank and defensive solidity caught the eye of Monaco, where he became a Ligue 1 mainstay. His career took a significant turn when he opted to represent Senegal, the nation of his parents, adding depth and quality to a golden generation of Senegalese talent. Ballo-Touré’s club path later led him to AC Milan, where he experienced Serie A and contributed to a Scudetto-winning squad, before returning to France. His moment of national pride arrived in 2022 when he was part of the Senegal squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations, securing the country's first major international trophy.

Generation Z

1997–2012

Born into smartphones, social media, and school shootings. The most diverse generation in history. Pragmatic about money, fluid about identity, anxious about the climate. They do not remember a world before the internet.

Fodé was born in 1997, placing them squarely in the Generation Z. The events that shaped this generation — social media, climate anxiety, and a pandemic — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
