A left-handed pitcher whose journey took him from a World Series ring in Boston to a globe-trotting baseball odyssey.
Félix Doubront's baseball life is a map of the modern professional game. Signed by the Boston Red Sox out of Venezuela as a teenager, he climbed the system as a promising starter, eventually contributing to the historic 2013 World Series championship team. His time in Boston showcased his potential, with flashes of the sharp stuff that could baffle lineups. But consistency was elusive, and his career transformed into a winding international expedition. After stops with the Cubs, Blue Jays, and Athletics, he pitched in South Korea with the Lotte Giants, in Taiwan for the Uni-President Lions, and in Mexico for the Caliente de Durango. More than a journeyman, Doubront became a baseball citizen, his left arm providing value and experience in leagues across the Americas and Asia, embodying the global reach of the sport.

Félix was born in 1987, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
