A model-turned-actress who champions Latina representation as a fierce demon-hunter and a romantic lead on screen.
Emeraude Toubia’s journey to Hollywood began on pageant stages and in music videos, a path she transformed into a platform for representation. Born in Canada and raised in Texas and Mexico, she first gained attention as a finalist in the ‘Nuestra Belleza Latina’ competition, which opened doors to hosting and modeling gigs. Her breakthrough came with the fantasy series ‘Shadowhunters,’ where for three seasons she wielded a seraph blade as Isabelle Lightwood, bringing a mix of steel and vulnerability to the beloved character. This role established her as a face of genre television for a new generation. She seamlessly pivoted to romantic comedy with ‘With Love,’ starring as Lily Diaz, a role that allowed her to explore the nuances of family, love, and cultural identity. More than an actress, Toubia uses her voice to advocate for diversity in entertainment and for body positivity, often speaking about the pressures she faced early in her career.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Emeraude was born in 1989, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
