Edgerrin James didn't just run the football; he performed with a unique, languid style that masked explosive power. Hailing from Immokalee, Florida, he was a standout at the University of Miami before the Indianapolis Colts drafted him fourth overall in 1999, a pick initially questioned by fans hoping for a different back.
