The driving creative force behind the sludgy, riff-heavy sound of CKY, which became the soundtrack for a generation of skate and stunt fans.
Deron Miller emerged from West Chester, Pennsylvania, as a musician with a distinct and heavy melodic sensibility. In 1998, he co-founded CKY, a band whose name became synonymous with the jackass skateboard and stunt universe through their music's inclusion in the seminal 'CKY' video series. As lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter, Miller crafted a signature sound—down-tuned, catchy riffs paired with sardonic lyrics—that defined albums like 'Infiltrate•Destroy•Rebuild'. His work extended beyond CKY into projects like the technical Foreign Objects and the melodic death metal of World Under Blood, showcasing his range across metal subgenres. While his tenure with CKY had its fractures, Miller's influence is indelible; the band's music provided a gritty, anthemic backbone to a specific and influential slice of early-2000s youth culture.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Deron was born in 1976, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
