A mercurial and powerful back-three player whose career was a high-speed journey through European rugby's top clubs.
Born in San Fernando, Trinidad, Delon Armitage moved to England as a child and channeled his athleticism into rugby. His breakthrough at London Irish announced a thrilling talent: a tall, fast back with a cannon of a boot and an eye for the line. Armitage's form earned him an England cap in 2008, but his path was never straightforward. He became a globetrotter of the European game, bringing his explosive running to Toulon during their rise to dominance and later to Lyon. While disciplinary controversies sometimes overshadowed his on-field brilliance, his ability to change a game from fullback or wing remained undeniable. After retiring, he moved into coaching, applying his hard-won experience to a new generation of players.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Delon was born in 1983, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
