A versatile and resilient hardcore specialist whose career became a living history of American wrestling's major promotions over three decades.
To fans in the late 1990s, Christopher Ford was the manic, weapon-wielding Crowbar in WCW, a staple of hardcore matches who often teamed with David Flair and Daffney in a chaotic, dysfunctional faction. But his real legacy in wrestling is one of sheer endurance and adaptability. Operating under various names like Devon Storm early on, Ford possessed a technical skill often overshadowed by the plunder of his hardcore persona. What sets him apart is a unique distinction: he is one of a tiny group of wrestlers to have performed for every major American promotion across different eras—WWF, WCW, ECW, TNA, ROH, and AEW. This journey saw him evolve from a cruiserweight competitor to a hardcore champion to a respected veteran on the independent scene. His career arc is a map of the industry's changes, from the Monday Night Wars to the rise of the indies and new national players, and he survived it all with a reputation for professionalism.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Crowbar was born in 1974, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
