A former MLS defender who transitioned seamlessly into coaching, now shaping the next generation of players at the collegiate level in Colorado.
Scott Palguta built a solid, if understated, career through grit and defensive intelligence. After a standout college career at the University of Richmond, he entered the professional ranks, spending the bulk of his MLS years with the Colorado Rapids. Palguta was the kind of player managers valued for his consistency and tactical understanding rather than flashy highlights, contributing to a Rapids squad that consistently competed in the playoffs. His leadership and knowledge of the game made a move into coaching inevitable. In 2015, he returned to the state where he played his professional football, taking the helm of the men's soccer program at Colorado College. There, he has focused on developing student-athletes, applying the lessons learned from a decade in professional soccer to a collegiate setting.

Cristian was born in 1982, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
