CJ McCollum led the 15th-seeded Lehigh Mountain Hawks to a historic upset over Duke in the 2012 NCAA tournament, announcing himself from a mid-major program. The Portland Trail Blazers drafted him, and he spent years as a reserve before seizing a starting role. He won the NBA's Most Improved Player award in 2016. Alongside Damian Lillard, he formed one of the league's most durable backcourts, known for a smooth pull-up jumper and clutch scoring.
