A reliable MLS goalkeeper who provided steady hands for multiple franchises over a long career, culminating in an unexpected championship run.
Chris Seitz's professional journey was one of resilience and adaptation. Drafted by Real Salt Lake, he entered the league as a promising young goalkeeper, spending his early years as an understudy and fighting for a starting role. His career found its rhythm through moves to FC Dallas and later the Houston Dynamo, where his experience and calm demeanor in goal became valuable assets. While not always a flashy star, Seitz was the definition of a dependable professional, ready to step in when called upon. The crowning achievement came late, as a backup for the Seattle Sounders during their 2019 MLS Cup victory, a testament to his perseverance and respected presence in the locker room throughout a 14-year career.
