The British rider who, aboard the remarkable horse Valegro, redefined the heights of dressage with record-shattering scores and captivating artistry.
Charlotte Dujardin won double Olympic gold in dressage in London 2012 and another gold in Rio 2016, all riding the gelding Valegro. The pair broke their own world records repeatedly between 2011 and 2016, capturing World and European championship titles. Their performances combined technical precision with expressive athleticism, drawing audiences beyond equestrian circles. Under trainer Carl Hester, Dujardin developed a partnership with Valegro that made complex routines appear effortless. After Valegro's retirement, she trained new young horses to top levels and secured further Olympic medals. She was born in 1985.
