The versatile drummer and multi-instrumentalist who became the reliable rhythmic backbone for a who's who of rock and roll royalty, from arenas to studio sessions.
Brent Fitz’s career is a map of modern rock’s backstage network. The Winnipeg-born musician built his reputation not on flashy solos, but on impeccable timing, adaptability, and a congenial professionalism that made him a first call for major artists. His big break came when he joined Vince Neil’s solo band, proving he could handle the high-octane demands of stadium rock. This led to a long and steady tenure as the touring drummer for the legendary Alice Cooper, where his showmanship met theatrical precision. Fitz’s most significant musical partnership, however, has been with guitarist Slash, serving as the rhythmic anchor for Slash's solo projects and the band Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Beyond the kit, he is a skilled pianist and guitarist, often contributing keyboards and backing vocals in the studio. Fitz embodies the essential sideman: a musician whose solid, versatile talent allows the stars he supports to shine brighter.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Brent was born in 1970, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
