A cornerstone of Mexican lucha libre's most storied family, whose 'Golden Arm' persona embodied the technical mastery and chaotic spirit of the ring.
Jesús Alvarado Nieves, known to fans as Brazo de Oro (Golden Arm), was not just a wrestler but a vital patriarch in the sprawling, chaotic Alvarado wrestling dynasty. Debuting in the late 1970s, he and his brothers, most famously Brazo de Plata (Super Porky), forged a unique identity as Los Brazos, a trio known for their technical skill, comic timing, and wild brawls. Brazo de Oro was often the straight man to his brother's clowning, a foundation of solid in-ring ability around which the comedy revolved. His career spanned decades across Mexico's major promotions, where he held numerous tag team championships and trained the next generation. His true legacy, however, is his family: he fathered a son who wrestles as La Máscara, and his nephews include modern stars like Máximo and Psycho Clown. He died in 2017, leaving behind a legacy woven directly into the fabric of lucha libre's history.
1946–1964
The largest generation in history at the time. Shaped by postwar prosperity, the Vietnam War, the sexual revolution, and Watergate. They questioned every institution their parents built — then ran them.
Brazo was born in 1959, placing them squarely in the Baby Boomers. The events that shaped this generation — postwar prosperity, civil rights, Vietnam, and the counterculture — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
