A South African rider who broke through European dominance to become a Moto3 world champion and a consistent force in MotoGP.
Brad Binder grew up in Potchefstroom, South Africa, part of a racing family where his younger brother, Darryn, also became a professional rider. His path to the world stage was a testament to raw talent and relentless drive, moving to Europe as a teenager to compete in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Binder's breakthrough came in 2016 when he secured the Moto3 world title with a stunning late-season charge, becoming the first South African to win a Grand Prix world championship in 36 years. His aggressive, never-surrender riding style earned him a promotion to the premier MotoGP class with the KTM factory team, where he has since carved a reputation as a fierce competitor, famously taking KTM's first-ever MotoGP victory in only his third race in the category. Binder's career represents a bridge from a country with a limited motorcycle racing tradition to the very pinnacle of the sport.

Brad was born in 1995, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
