Biography

Discovered by Snoop Dogg as a charismatic six-year-old, Shad Moss, known as Bow Wow, was groomed for stardom by Jermaine Dupri. He became a pre-teen phenomenon, selling millions of records with a kid-friendly rap style that made him a staple on MTV's 'Total Request Live'. As he aged out of his 'Lil' Bow Wow' persona, he adeptly shed the prefix and pivoted towards acting. He anchored the popular film franchise 'Like Mike' and later found a new, loyal audience as the star of the CSI spin-off 'CSI: Cyber'. His career is a case study in surviving early fame, continuously adapting his persona to stay relevant across two decades of shifting pop culture.

Millennials

1981–1996

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.

Bow was born in 1987, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
