Biography
Bob James began as a classically trained pianist from Missouri, but it was in the jazz fusion scene of the 1970s where he found his unique voice. As a house arranger and producer for CTI Records, he crafted a sophisticated, cinematic sound that blended orchestral sweep with funky rhythms. His early solo albums, particularly 'One', 'Two', and 'Three', were not just commercial successes but sonic troves.
