A charismatic daytime TV actor who brought depth and vulnerability to beloved roles on 'The Young and the Restless' and 'General Hospital'.
Billy Miller brought a grounded, everyman charm to the heightened world of soap operas. After starting his career with commercial work and small TV parts, he landed the role of Richie Novak on 'All My Children', but it was his move to 'The Young and the Restless' as Billy Abbott that made him a daytime star. He infused the often-troubled character with a roguish likability, winning three Daytime Emmys for his work. In a career-defining challenge, he joined 'General Hospital' in 2014, initially playing the amnesiac Jason Morgan and later taking on the dual role of Jason and his brother, Drew Cain. Miller navigated the complex, fan-scrutinized storyline with technical skill and emotional clarity, earning deep affection from the soap community. His sudden death in 2023 left a void in the genre he helped define.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Billy was born in 1979, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
