A formidable big man whose professional basketball journey took him from SEC standout to a global tour of leagues on three continents.
Arnett Moultrie's story is one of raw talent and nomadic persistence. Standing well over six-foot-ten, the native of North Carolina made his mark in college, first at UTEP before transferring to Mississippi State, where he averaged a double-double and earned All-SEC honors. Selected 27th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat, his rights were quickly traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, where he showed flashes of his rebounding prowess and mid-range touch during his rookie season. Injuries and the shifting sands of NBA roster construction limited his tenure in the league. Unfazed, Moultrie embarked on a globe-trotting career, bringing his size and energy to teams in China, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and across Latin America. His path reflects the reality for many professional athletes: a relentless pursuit of the game, adapting his skills to different styles of play in leagues far from the bright lights of the NBA.
