A bruising Croatian center who brought relentless energy and a blue-collar mentality to the NBA Finals stage with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Born in Split, Ante Žižić's basketball journey was forged in the demanding European club system. He turned professional with KK Split in his homeland before his size and motor caught the attention of Maccabi Tel Aviv. The Boston Celtics drafted him in 2016, but his NBA path truly opened when he was included in the trade that sent Kyrie Irving to Boston, landing him with the Cleveland Cavaliers. As a rookie, he provided vital, physical minutes off the bench for a LeBron James-led team that reached the 2018 NBA Finals. His game, defined by fierce rebounding and a non-stop motor in the paint, found a more permanent home back in Europe, where he became a dominant force for Turkish power Anadolu Efes, winning championships and earning individual accolades.

Born into smartphones, social media, and school shootings. The most diverse generation in history. Pragmatic about money, fluid about identity, anxious about the climate. They do not remember a world before the internet.
Ante was born in 1997, placing them squarely in the Generation Z. The events that shaped this generation — social media, climate anxiety, and a pandemic — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
