A fiery and spectacular goalkeeper whose acrobatic saves and longevity made him a defining figure for Rangers and Scotland.
Allan McGregor won the Scottish Premiership and the club's 55th league title in 2021 after returning to Rangers in 2018. Emerging from Rangers' youth academy, he spent years on loan before seizing the number one jersey. His style was all-action: low center of gravity, explosive movement, and fearless commitment. He left Rangers after financial turmoil, proving himself in the Turkish Super Lig with Beşiktaş and the English Premier League with Hull City, where his performances earned a PFA Team of the Year nomination. For Scotland, he provided a reliable last line of defense over 42 caps. McGregor played with a visible, combative passion that made him a cult hero.
