A South African racing driver who carved out a successful niche in international GT endurance competition.
Adrian Zaugg's career path took him from the karting tracks of South Africa to the high-speed endurance circuits of Europe. He climbed the traditional single-seater ladder, showing promise in Formula Renault and Formula Three, and even serving as a test driver for the Red Bull and Force India Formula One teams. While a permanent F1 seat remained elusive, Zaugg found his true calling in sports car racing. He proved to be a formidable and consistent performer in GT machinery, combining raw speed with the strategic patience required for long-distance events. His crowning achievement came in 2018, co-driving to a class victory in the fiercely competitive Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. This win highlighted his adaptability and skill in a racing discipline where teamwork and reliability are as crucial as outright pace.
