A cold-blooded college star whose clutch shooting and leadership transformed Texas A&M basketball into a national story almost overnight.
Before Acie Law IV arrived in College Station, Texas A&M basketball was an afterthought. By the time he left, the program was a national contender, and he was its undisputed heart. A poised, powerful guard from Dallas, Law's career was a masterclass in rising to the moment. He etched his name into Aggie lore with 'The Shot'—a deep, falling-away three-pointer at the buzzer to beat rival Texas in 2006, a play that announced A&M's arrival. The following season, he led the Aggies to the Sweet Sixteen, earning consensus All-American honors and the nickname 'Captain Clutch' for his uncanny ability to seize games in the final minutes. His senior year was a storybook: he hit game-winners, dominated top-ranked Kansas, and turned Reed Arena into a fortress. Drafted 11th overall in 2007, his professional journey across the NBA and Europe was solid but never recaptured the magic of his college peak. His legacy, however, is permanent: his retired No. 1 jersey hangs as a testament to the player who made Aggie basketball matter.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Acie was born in 1985, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
