Ini Kopuria was a Solomon Islands police officer from Maravovo, Guadalcanal, who founded the Melanesian Brotherhood in 1925. He and the Bishop of Melanesia, John Manwaring Steward, formed a brotherhood to spread Christianity to non-Christian areas of Melanesia.
